History

The new Dyson Air Multiplier fan created by British entrepreneur James Dyson. The fan draws air into its cylinder-shaped base and then forces the air out through a ring. With no blades, the jet of air appears to be coming from nowhere.

An inducement process is put to work. The air flowing out of the slit recruits surrounding air because of the configuration of the slit causing more air flowing through the ring structure from the base fan alone.

Dyson claims that inducement creates a 15x amplification in airflow. Hence the name “Dyson Air Multiplier”.
